Asakusa

Location: Asakusa station

First stop of the day is Asakusa where the Sensoji temple and Kaminarimon is located at. Most people will recognize this temple by the big red lantern on TV show. Most of nearby shops at Nakamise shopping street and Shin-Nakamise shopping street are closed when I reach Asakusa area around 7am. There is hardly any crowd at this time which allow you to take nice photos :)

First encounter with Sakura flower in Sensoji temple

My first encounter with Sakura flower!! I did not expect as I thought it would be just a temple with shopping area. They are so beautiful :)

Nakamise Shopping Street

Nakamise shopping street which is just outside Sensoji Temple stretches all the way to Kaminarimon which sell local specialties and souvenirs.

Shin-Nakamise Shopping Street

It is located at perendicular to the Nakamise shopping street where there are lots of restaurants. One of must tried food at this area is Melon Bread :)

Although Sensoji temple is opened at 6am, most of nearby shops at Nakamise shopping street and Shin-Nakamise shopping street only open after 9am. I will recommend visiting the temple around 8am to walk around take nice photos before the main crowds arrive.
