Tim Ho Wan (Plaza Singapura)

Location: #01-29A/52, Plaza Singapura, 68 Orchard Road

Operating hours: Mon - Fri: 10:00 - 22:00 | Sat, Sun & PH: 09:00 - 22:00

Always been hearing about the long q at Tim Ho Wan, spending a few hours waiting for the tim sum just sound crazy to me. Is the tim sum really worth the few hours of q? When I arrived 10am on Sunday morning, the q is already so long ... Thanks god that one of my friend volunteered to go early.
Pan fried carrot cake: It is really kind of dry and tasteless. Not really worth trying.

Siew Mai: I always love siew mai but this is another disappointing dish. I rather buy the frozen siew mai from NTUC and it tastes better after steaming ...

Prawn dumplings: It is served hot and fresh. The thickness of the skin is also right and chewy. Worth trying.

Vermicelli Roll: Definitely not worth trying ...

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork: It is one of the best dish served in this restaurant and it really lives up to the standard. The bun is slightly crispy and char siew inside is delicious.
The service of the restaurant is quite poor as the waiters/waitresses are busy rushing around. They also forget one of our orders until we reminded them. Overall, I feel the food is really overrated as most of them do not taste as good as other claimed. Definitely not worth the few hours of q.
