Baikohken and gastronomia

How to go: 391A Orchard Road Basement, B2 Takashimaya Food Hall Ngee Ann City. It is located at one small corner of the Takashimaya food. It is quiet and peaceful away from the big crowd.
Half portion of shio ramen (salt)
Half portion of shoyu ramen

I ordered the shio ramen while my friend Jerine ordered the Shoyu ramen. The ramen cost $10.5 individually without any service charge. They also serve us ice water which is quite nice. The Shio soup base is slightly salty yet not till the point of thirsty. It is quite nice. The shoyu soup base smell fragrance but more bland as compared to shio. The ramen noodle seem a bit disappoint as it taste a bit like instant noodle. However, the meat portion is really quite big and delicious. I wish to have more portion of the meat!! Overall, it is still quite fulfilling for the price. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Both of us went with our own friends to Ipuddo recently and we order same ramen AKAMARU SHINAJI. We agreed that the ramen at Ipuddo is much nice as we can choose the texture of the noodle but the waiting time is just too long...

How to go: We went to the outlet at Paragon. It is located at basement floor where all the f&b store is located at.
I never heard of this cafe until my friend told me. My friend ordered the tiramisu cup for $7.50 and I ordered chocolate caramel cake for $8.80 . At the first look, all these cakes does not seem appetizing as they are all packed in a plastic box ... Look like those packed cake. However, the taste is amazing especially tiramisu. The texture of the tiramisu is just nice and creamy. We both agreed this is one of the best tiramisu cake we ever had. As chocolate fan, I also like chocolate caramel cake. There is quite a lot caramel cake out there but most of them are too sweet. This is just nice and I love it too. The topping on top remind me of rabbit .... If u have rabbits, u would know wat i mean. Overall, it is quite a nice place to hang out with ur friends to have a nice dessert. There are also other outlets around Singapore.

Dog cafe at Hongdae

Bau House
How to go there: Alight at Hapjeong station and go out from exit 3.

When u come out from the exit, make a u turn and turn left at this alley. Walk for 15metre and u would find the dog cafe located on the right side. This is recommended by my friend Yeonsue :)
Dog menu in the cafe. The whole cafe is divided into 2 sections: one side for big dogs and one side for small dogs. U can choose which side to sit down. It is always polite to have as least something to drink at cafe.

photos of the cute dogs in the cafe

The whole cafe area is quite big and clean. We can also buy treats for the dogs to eat similar to the gangnam. The dogs here are also trained so u can ask them to sit down. However, the dogs only come when we have food ... So it is better to buy some treats which cost 2000won for a small pack. Overall it is quite a nice experience to relax here and play with the dogs. I definitely come back for dog cafes when I go korea again.

Personally I have went to 3 different dog cafes in Seoul: 1 at gangnam, 1 at hongdae and 1 at myeongdong. My favorite is the Cafepaws at gangnam, follow by Bau House at hongdae and lastly dog cafe at myeongdong.

Day 36: Yuldong park, Bundang Jeongja-dong Café Street and Namhansanseong Provincial Park

Yuldong park
How to go there: Alight at seohyeon station and go out from exit 2. The bus stop is just located outside the exit. U can take bus 17 or 17-1 or 33 to reach the park. U can alight at 13th or 14th bus stop.
The bungee tower which is 45-meter. The cost is around 25000won. It is opened from 10am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5pm. However, it is limited 15 to 50 people jump per day so u got to be early. If there is bad weather condition, the bungee jump is also cancelled. Remember to take note of weather and be there early for the jump.

Some of the beautiful photos around the park
U can also jog or cycle around the park. It is quite beautiful with mountain and lake scenery. The park is also a popular date course for couples at nighttime as there are many quiet cafes located near the reservoir.

Bundang Jeongja-dong Café Street

How to go there: Alight Jeongja Station (Seoul Subway Bundang Line), Exit 5. From the subway exit, turn around and cross the road. Turn left onto Neuti-ro Street (느티로), and go straight for 60m. Turn right before the Paragon Apartment Building 101, and go straight for 160m. Cross the road at Paragon Apartment Building 104 to arrive at Budang Jeongja-dong Café Street.
It is a popular place lined with a lot nice cafes for people. It is also a popular spot for dating places. It is also called Cheongja-dong due to the chic atmosphere resembles Cheongdam-dong in Seoul.
we have lunch at this awesome restaurant. It was consider the best meal I ever had in Korea.
My lunch. I ordered a gyzoa set for 9000won. The fried rice was really tasty cooked with big chuck of meals yet not oily. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The gyoza is well cooked and delicious even without any sauce. The soup is simple but yet nice. I really enjoy this lunch. I think to have such delicious meal in Singapore would cost more than 20 SGD. Strongly recommend to dine in here if u are coming to this cafe street.

Namhansanseong Provincial Park

How to go there: Alight at Sanseong Station and come out from Exit No. 2. Take City Bus No. 9, and get off at Namhansanseong bus stop.
It is popular spot for mountain-climbing. It is beautiful through out the year. It is cover with green trees during the summer when we went there. I think it would be more beautiful during autumn when all the leaves start to turn red!!! The journey to the top took us around 30 minutes.

View at the top!! Look a bit like great wall of china!!
The guardpost at the top

Scenery of the city from the top
View of the tree through the window of the wall!!

Photo of me enjoying the scenery!!
Overall, it is really worth visiting for the scenery. Just hike and enjoy the scenery along the way. Remember to wear hiking shoe and not like me going everywhere in slipper ... Also bring drinking water and sunblock if u are intending to hike for long period of time.
